The Saltaires were founded in 1989, and are celebrating over 35+ years of singing barbershop throughout the Wasatch Front and competing on the international stage. Over the past three decades the Saltaires have developed a tradition of presenting the finest in men’s a cappella singing within the Rocky Mountain region. From entertaining our enthusiastic audiences in our well-known four part barbershop style, to our collaborations with The Utah Symphony at Abravanel Hall, Snowbird, and Deer Valley, we have performed at festivals in the historic Salt Lake Tabernacle, LDS Conference Center, Assembly Hall on Temple Square as well as Brigham Young Park. We have also performed at regional venues from Zions National Park in Southern Utah to The Ellen Eccles Theater in Logan.

SoJo Choral Arts was founded on the belief that music is more than an art form—it’s a source of healing and resilience. This understanding is deeply personal for Executive Director, McKell Scanlan, who turned to music as a therapeutic outlet after losing the use of a vocal cord due to cancer surgery. Her experience shapes our commitment to providing a space where others can also find healing, growth, and connection through music. Together, we create an environment where every rehearsal, workshop, and performance offers not only artistic fulfillment but also a chance to restore and uplift. Our partnerships with local shelters, Make-A-Wish, and other causes allow us to extend this healing power beyond our choir, reaching those in need. That spirit of giving is at the heart of everything we do.

Our community choir, Utah Choral Collective, is a harmonious melting pot of people from all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds, who come together to sing their hearts out and have a great time doing it! We believe that music is for everyone, and our mission is to make it accessible, fun and inclusive for everyone who joins us. We’ll sing, laugh and make beautiful music together, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time singer. Let’s raise our voices and spread the joy of music in our community!

Utah Voices provides all who wish to sing a welcoming, affirmative and vibrant organization in which to create beautiful music.
Utah Voices was created by a handful of dedicated, hardworking people who truly love to sing. It is the culmination of the dreams and united vision of individuals who are passionate about making music. We desire to provide a unique and fulfilling musical opportunity to those who sing with us as well as those for whom we perform.
Utah Voices rests on the fundamental principle that most people love to sing, and should have access to a place in which to sing. Utah Voices serves people in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas who want to make and hear great choral music.
Members of Utah Voices love to sing and commit voluntarily to the group. We vary in skill from having no previous choral experience to having had substantial vocal training. Some of us are still learning to read music; others are practiced sight-readers. We range in age from twenty-somethings to senior citizens. We are business people, students, educators, engineers, homemakers, and retirees. We are a dedicated core of members who are enthusiastic about our mission and our choral involvement is an important priority in our lives. We give of ourselves, to each other, and to our community and feel we are richer for doing so.
All who can carry a tune are welcome without regard to gender, class, religion, sexual, social, or political orientation. Rehearsals are never dull; concerts never boring. We serve the communities in which we live by offering entertaining and inspiring performances of the greatest music from all available sources.
Although we do not audition to join, we are grateful for artistic staff who expect, and perhaps demand, beyond the average community chorus’s natural capacity. We thrive in a higher level of musicality in order to offer concert-goers unforgettable choral concert experiences, touching on inspiration, excitement, fun, and nostalgia.
